Crisis Medical paramedics responded to an accident on the N2 South bound before Inanda Road at 05:45am this morning.

On arrival, paramedics feared the worst when they found the crumbled remains of a double cab bakkie lying on the side of the road. The vehicle was inspected and to the shock of paramedics, a man was found alive inside the vehicle. Immediately work began to extricate the man from the vehicle before placing him on a spine board and transporting him to Ethekwini Hospital by Crisis Medical ambulance for further medical care in a stable condition.

It is suggested that the vehicle lost control while negotiating a bend and rolling repeatedly before coming to rest in the fast lane of the busy freeway.

Local law enforcement personnel were on scene to investigate the exact cause of the accident.
