Netcare 911 paramedics responded to an incident on Nottingham Road, KZN last night.
Upon their arrival they found that a seventy-year-old woman had sustained critical injuries and a seventy-six-year old man had sustained serious injuries.
After they man and woman were treated and stabilised on scene, they were both transported to a hospital in Pietermaritzburg for further medical care.
Exact detail to the cause of the incident and preceding events will remain the subject of a police investigation.
