Randburg taxi accident leaves 14 injured


Fourteen people were injured after a taxi collided into the rear of a heavy goods vehicle along Beyers Naude Drive, Randburg. Reports indicate that the accident occurred at around 14h10 near Christiaan de Wet Road, after the taxi rear ended the truck the vehicle overturned.

Netcare 911 paramedics the fire department and several other services arrived at the scene and found the crumpled wreckage of the taxi and accident debris littering the road. After triaging the injured they found that two people sustained serious injuries while the remainder miraculously escaped with minor injuries.

Medic’s stabelised the injured on scene before transporting them to various hospitals in the area for the care that they required.
