Rear End Accident Leaves 3 Injured on N2

Crisis Medical paramedics responded to an accident on the N2 South bound before the M25 Kwa-Mashu at 16:50 today.

On arrival, paramedics found that a sedan had rear ended a bakkie causing it to end up in the centre medium. The vehicles were inspected and it was found that 3 people in the back of bakkie had sustained moderate to serious injuries with 1 person suffering back and chest injuries. The driver of the sedan was unhurt in the collision. The occupants of the bakkie were stabilised and transported by Crisis Medical ambulance to Ethekwini Hospital for further medical care.

At this stage it is unknown what caused the sedan to collide with the bakkie and will form the subject of a police investigation.

Traffic was severely affected as rescue personal worked to treat the injured and clear the scene.
