4 People Injured In Riverside Road Smash

Crisis Medical paramedics responded to a serious accident on Riverside Road at the intersection of Soofie Saheb at 20:25 on Saturday evening.

On arrival, paramedics found two vehicles that had collided head on with each other. An assessment was done of the injured and it was found that two people had suffered serious injuries including suspected broken bones. They were fully immobilised and placed on spine boards while the other two occupants suffered minor injuries. All four people were transported to a local hospital for further medical care.

From on scene reports, it is suggested that a sedan travelling in a westerly direction strayed from its designated land before colliding head on with a small hatch back.

Traffic was severely disrupted due to recovery operations and to allow medical personal to work.
