Rescue Care Paramedics were called to a serious motor bike collision on the corner of Umgeni Road and Kent Road just after 1:30pm today.
On arrival paramedics found a seriously injured biker lying in the intersection. Paramedics worked to stabilize him and found he had possible fractures to his arm and leg. Advanced Life Support intervention was required and the patient was then placed on a special spinal board and transported to a local hospital for the further care that he required.
It is unclear what caused the collision however the necessary authorities were on the scene and will be investigating further.
