Early morning collision leaves six injured in Durban central

Just after 5am this morning Rescue Care Paramedics were called to a taxi collision on the corner of Aliwal St and Ordinance Road in Durban central.

Paramedics arrived on scene to find that two vehicles had collided in the junction one of them being a taxi ferrying people to work. An assessment revealed that six people had sustained various injuries after the collision. All of the injured were stabilized on the scene before being transported to a nearby hospital for further care that they required.

It is unclear what caused the collision however it is alleged that an errant party disregarded a traffic signal however SAPS were on the scene and will be investigating further.
