A side-impact accident along Old Main Road Howick has left four people injured, one critically so at around 08h00 this morning. Exact detail to the cause of the accident is still speculative, however a passenger bus collided into the side of a V W Polo .
Netcare 911 paramedics arrived at the scene and found the roadway obstructed with the wreckages of the vehicles. After triaging the injured it was found that one person sustained critical injuries while three others sustained injuries ranging from serious to minor.
After the injured were stabelised on scene they were transported to a provincial hospital in Pietermaritzburg for the care that they required.
