Netcare 911 paramedics and other services responded to an accident in Midrand late this afternoon.
Upon their arrival on scene they found that a minibus had collided with two vehicles and overturned resulting in sixteen people sustaining serious injuries.
After the injured were treated on scene, they were transported to various hospitals in the area for further medical care.
Exact detail to the cause of the accident and preceding events will remain the subject of a police investigation.
