Netcare 911 paramedics, its rescue unit and other services responded to an accident on the N14 near the R512 Lanseria off-ramp this morning.
Upon their arrival on scene they found that a minibus and motor vehicle were involved. It appears that the minibus rear-ended the motor vehicle.
Three people sustained serious injuries and two people sustained minor to moderate injuries.
All the injured were treated on scene before being transported to nearby medical facilities for further medical care.
Exact detail to the cause of the accident and preceding events will remain the subject of a police investigation.
