Netcare 911 paramedics responded to an accident on Ontdekkers Road in Florida, Roodepoort this afternoon.
Upon their arrival on scene they found that a motorcycle had crashed into the back of a light delivery vehicle.
The motorcyclist sadly died during the accident and two children sitting on the back of the delivery vehicle sustained serious and moderate injuries respectively.
After the children were treated and stabilised on scene, they were transported to a nearby hospital for further medical care.
Exact detail to the cause of the accident and preceding events will remain the subject of a police investigation.
