Three people have died and another person is in a critical condition after a head on collision involving a truck and a SUV on the M63 about 5km outside of Nigel this afternoon.
ER24 paramedics along with Provincial service and found the two vehicles still in the road with extensive damage to both vehicles. Paramedics assessed the patients and found that two occupants from the truck and one person from the SUV had already succumbed to their injuries and was declared deceased on scene.
The passenger from the SUV was in a critical condition and needed rapid medical care due to the injuries they had sustained in the accident. The patient was transported to a nearby hospital for further medical care.
The circumstances around the accident would be investigated by the local authorities.
