Netcare 911 paramedics and other services responded to an accident on Modderfontein Road in Esther Park, Gauteng this afternoon.
Upon their arrival on scene they found that a minibus collided with a heavy goods vehicle. The driver of the minibus was critically injured while another passenger sustained serious injuries. One other occupant tragically lost their live during the accident.
The injured were treated and stabilised on scene before being transported to nearby medical facilities for further medical care.
Exact detail to the cause of the accident and preceding events will remain the subject of a police investigation.
