Netcare 911 paramedics responded to an accident in Garsfontein, Pretoria late this afternoon.
Upon their arrival on scene they found that a man believed to be in his thirties was critically injured after his motorcycle collided with a motor vehicle.
The critically injured man was rushed to a nearby Netcare hospital from where the Netcare1 helicopter airlifted the man.
Exact detail to the cause of the accident and preceding events will remain the subject of a police investigation.
