Paramedics on their way to Nasrec to take part in the SAESI contest this morning, came across a pedestrian that had been knocked down by a vehicle on Nasrec road just off Rand Show road.
It appeared to he a hit and run incident where the vehicle that collided into the man was no longer on the scene. The patient who appeared to be in his 40’s, was found lying in the middle of the road and he was in a critical condition. Paramedics from ER24 and the Provincial service desperately tried to save the man’s life, but sadly after a long battle, there was no change in his condition and he died on scene.
It is not clear as to what exactly took place which left the man bleeding and lying in the road, but local police were on scene and they are to investigate the incident further.
