“Tonight I have the most amazing story to tell, I was rushing back from Ladysmith which I had loads on my mind, when I realized I’m low on fuel, just before Bethlehem. I started praying for a garage to be close or for my fuel guzzling hummer to just make to the next station. Something inside made me take an off ramp 40km from from Bethlehem and as you know by now I’m almost out. Then I saw across N3TC route Patrol for roadside assistance. I was greeted by two friendly guys by the name of Thabiso and Desmond which I asked, “how far to the next petrol station and they replied, “65km”.
At this point my heart sunk and I explained to them that I literally had 10km left of fuel, the replied, “no problem we carry fuel just for this reason, 10 litres or 15 which one you need”? I was blown away, they pulled the Jerry can out put fuel my truck, asked me to fill some paperwork and followed me for 68km to Villiers to make sure I make it to the station and of course fill the Jerry can which I naturally finished…LOL.
We are so used to complaining about the bad in this country that we very rarely remember to actually praise the good and the good people that go the extra mile. All I can is thank you lord for helping Tonight with two amazing guys that were so helpful and friendly.
