A 31 year old woman has lost her life after she was caught in the midst of a collision involving three taxis at the Durbanville Taxi Rank this afternoon.
According to paramedics who were on scene, it appeared that one taxi had collided into the back of another, which then collided head on with a third. Unfortunately, the woman was in between the two taxis when they collided head on and she was knocked down between them. Sadly she did not survive the injuries that she had sustained and there were no signs of life upon initial assessment. Paramedics declared the woman dead on scene.
No one else involved sustained any physical injuries and local police were on scene for investigation purposes.
