Woman Seriously Injured In Umhlangene Road Head On


Crisis Medical Paramedics responded to reports of a head on collision on Umhlangene Road after Queen Nandi Drive at 07:45 this morning.

On arrival, paramedics found two vehicles that had collided in a head on manner. The occupants of the vehicles were assessed and it was found a 42 year old woman had suffered blunt force chest injuries from the force of the impact. Paramedics worked to stabilise and fully immobilised the injured patient before taking her Ethekwini Hospital by Crisis Medical ambulance in a serious by stable condition.

From on scene reports, it is believed that the woman travelling in a southerly direction was hit by another vehicle after it lost control causing the collision. It is unknown what caused the man to lose control however he was not injured in the collision.
