1 Person Injured In N2 King Shaka Smash


Crisis Medical Paramedics responded to an accident on the N2 North before King Shaka Airport at 15:00 today.

On arrival, paramedics found a badly damaged bakkie that had lost control, rolled and then collided with the armco barrier. The driver of the vehicle was assessed and he was found to be seriously injured with suspected head and spinal injuries. With the assistance of Ethekwini Fire and Rescue, the man was carefully removed from his badly damaged vehicle. He was fully immobilised before being transported to a nearby hospital by Crisis Medical ambulance for further treatment.

At this stage it is unclear what caused the vehicle to lose control and will be investigated by SAPS.
