Just before 9am this morning Rescue Care paramedics were called to a serious collision on the offramp to Umgeni Road from the N2 North bound.
On arrival paramedics found that a truck which had taken the offramp had collided into the back of another truck at the intersection. The force of the collision pushed the front truck through the intersection totally jamming the road leading to Pinetown. Paramedics quickly assessed the situation and found that one patient had sustained moderate injuries. He was stabilized on the scene before being transported to a nearby hospital for further care.
It is unclear what caused the collision however SAPS were on the scene and will be investigating.
Traffic was severely affected in all directions whilst emergency personal worked to clear the scene.
