A man has tragically died and six others were injured in an accident on the N2 South near the M7 this morning at around 06h15. Reports indicate that a man was trying to cross the highway when he was struck by a bakkie.
Netcare 911 paramedics arrived at the scene and found the pedestrian lying on the roadway, tragically he died before our arrival. The other patients were found at the side of the road with injuries ranging from serious to minor.
After the patients were treated on scene, medics transported them to various hospitals for the care that they required.
