Netcare 911 paramedics responded to a pedestrian incident on Fransen Street in Chamdor, Krugersdorp this morning at around 10h25.
Upon their arrival on scene they found that a twenty-year-old man sustained critical injuries after he was knocked over by a motor vehicle.
The Netcare1 helicopter was activated to airlift the critically injured man to a Netcare facility for the urgent medical care that they required.
Exact detail to the cause of the accident and preceding events will remain the subject of a police investigation.
