N2 Collision after Queen Nandi Drive Leaves 2 Injured

Crisis Medical Paramedics responded to a collision on the N2 south bound freeway after Queen Nandi Drive at 11:40 today.

On arrival, paramedics found that two vehicles had overturned and come to rest in the centre island of the busy motorway. The occupants of the vehicle’s were assessed and it was established that the driver’s of the vehicle’s had sustained moderate injuries. Great care was taken to fully immobilise both patients before carefully removing them from their vehicles. Once free, they were transported by Crisis Medical ambulance to Ethekwini Hospital for further medical treatment.

From on scene reports, it is believed the Mercedes sedan lost control causing the following bakkie to collide with it, the result was that both vehicles overturned.

Traffic was severely affected in both directions while SAPS established the exact cause of the collision.
