Netcare 911 paramedics and other services responded to an accident and the intersection of Witklip Road and Polokwane Drive in Polokwane this evening.
Upon their arrival on scene they found that a minibus and light delivery vehicle had collided, resulting in eighteen people sustaining injuries. One person was critically injured, two sustained serious injuries and fifteen people sustained minor to moderate injuries.
All the injured were treated on scene, before they were transported to various hospitals in the area.
Exact detail to the cause of the accident and preceding events will remain the subject of a police investigation.
