Seven people have been injured after a taxi and a light motor vehicle collided on Old Main Road in Hammersdale this morning.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene and found the taxi off to the side of the road with the car in the middle of the road with extensive damage to the drivers side of the car. The commuters of the car and the taxi were found seated on the floor near to the accident scene.
Paramedics assessed the patients and found that one person had sustained a suspected neck and back injury while the remaining six had sustained minor cuts and abrasions. The patients were stabilised on scene and transported to Hillcrest Private Hospital for further medical care.
The necessary authorities were on scene and would investigate the incident further.
