The driver of a sand truck has been left with extensive injuries after his truck overturned at the corners of Moray and Gremlin in Douglasdale.

Paramedics from the various services arrived on scene to find that the truck had gone through a precast wall and was lying on its left side in the driver way of a residential house. The driver appears to have been ejected and was lying under a piece of concrete.

Paramedics removed the injured man and he was placed on a ventilator. A medical helicopter was called to the scene and landed on the premises of New Life Church after which the patient was airlifted to Milpark hospital for further care.

No one else was injured in the incident.
