DURBAN – Westwood Mall N2

A woman believed to be in her mid thirties was found lying next to the N2 this morning. Shortly after 07:00 paramedics were dispatched to the scene. Bystanders explained that they thought the woman was knocked over and that she was dead.
Paramedics found the woman barely breathing and with multiple injuries. Advanced Life Support treatment was initiated and the woman was stabilised on the scene before rushed off to a nearby hospital for further medical care.
It is not clear when this incident occurred, but it is believed that the woman was lying next to the highway for some time before someone noticed her.
The police were on the scene and will investigate the matter further.
