1 Injured In M4 Collision

Crisis Medical Paramedics responded to a collision on the M4 south bound before Riverside Road at 08:00 this morning.

On arrival, paramedics found two vehicles that had collided with each other in a rear end manner. The occupants were assessed and it was found that a 41 year old female passenger of the rear vehicle had sustained moderate injuries including a lower limb fracture. The injured lady was carefully removed from the vehicle before being placed and a spine board. Once stable, she was transported by Crisis Medical ambulance to a nearby hospital.

On scene reports suggest a vehicle suddenly braked cause a following vehicle to collide into it however SAPS will determine the exact cause of the collision.

Traffic was serve rly distrusted as emergency personnel worked to clear the scene.

Motorists are reminded to maintain safe following distances to avoid rear end collisions.
