17 Injured In M4 Sibiya Collision

Crisis Medical Paramedics responded to a serious collision on the M4 before Sibiya at 09:00 this morning.

On arrival, paramedics found that a fully laden taxi had rear ended an SUV which then collided with a truck.

Paramedics immediately assessed the occupants of the vehicles and established that 17 people from the taxi and SUV had sustained injuries from minor to moderate. All the injured were stabilized and treated on scene before being transported to local hospitals by Crisis Medical Ambulance and another service provider.

The exact cause of the collision will be investigated by local SAPS who were on scene to determine the exact cause.

Traffic was distrusted while emergency services worked to clear the scene.
