Crisis Medical Paramedics responded to a collision at the North Coast Road and Queen Nandi Drive intersection at 17:00 today.

First to arrive on scene, Crisis Medical paramedics quickly assessed the occupants of both vehicles and established that 3 people from a sedan had sustained minor to moderate injures. Paramedics quickly immobilised the injured before loading them into a waiting Crisis Medical ambulance to be transported to Ethekwini Hospital for further medical treatment.

The driver and a passenger from the taxi also sustained injury and were transported hospital for further medical treatment.

On scene reports suggest that an errant party ignored a red traffic signal before colliding with another vehicle trying to cross the intersection. SAPS were on scene to envisage the cause of the collision.

Traffic was severely disrupted while emergency personnel worked to clear the scene.
