A female has died while fifteen others were injured, one critically so, after a bakkie left the R66 in Eshowe and rolled down an embankment. Reports from the scene indicate that the people were on their way to a church service when the vehicle overturned.
Netcare 911 and the provincial paramedics arrived at the scene and after triaging they found that a female in her twenties tragically died due to the severe injuries that she sustained, one person was in a critical condition while fourteen others sustained serious injuries.
After the injured were stabelised on scene they were transported to various hospitals for the care that they required.
