Netcare 911 paramedics responded to a pedestrian accident on Atterbury Road in Garsfontein, Pretoria last night after 21h00.
Upon their arrival on scene they found that a man had sustained critical injuries after he was knocked over by a motor vehicle.
The man was rushed to hospital for the urgent medical care that he required.
Exact detail to the cause of the accident and preceding events will remain the subject t of a police investigation.
