Three people were seriously injured after two vehicles collided head-on along Kingsway Road Warner Beach at around 23h06 on Saturday night. Exact detail to the cause of the accident and preceding events will remain a subject for police investigation and comment.
Netcare 911 paramedics arrived at the scene and found accident debris spread over a large area of the road. The crumpled remains of the vehicles were found on opposite sides of the road about 30 meters apart with the occupants still trapped in the twisted metal.
While firemen used the Jaws of Life to free the injured, paramedics clambered into the wreckage to stabilize the them. After the patients were extricated and deftly immobilized they were transported to various hospitals in the area for the care that they required.
