16 Injured In M4 Taxi Accident

Crisis Medical Paramedics responded to reports of a taxi accident on the M4 north bound before Broadway at 16:25 this afternoon.

First to arrive on scene, paramedics found passengers of the vehicle strewn across the road way. They were immediately assessed and it was established that 16 people had sustained injury ranging from minor to moderate.

More recourses were called to assist and the injured were then loaded into awaiting ambulances.

On scene reports suggest that the taxi was traveling north on the M4 before it suddenly lost control and rolled several times before coming to rest.

Traffic was severely affected while emergency personnel worked to clear the scene.
