6 People Injured In M4 Taxi Accident

Crisis Medical Paramedics responded to a collision between a taxi and a bus on the M4 south bound just after the Broadway off ramp at 15:00 today.

On arrival, paramedics inspected the occupants of the bus and taxi and established that 6 people in the taxi had sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate. The injured were treated and stabilized on scene before being transported to area hospitals by Crisis Medical and Rescue Care ambulance.

Thankfully, no passengers on the bus sustained injury.

It is not know at this stage what caused the collision and will be investigated by SAPS and Metro Police.

Traffic was severely disrupted as the busy road was closed to allow emergency personnel to clear the scene.
