Just after 11am this morning Rescue Care paramedics were called to Coedmore Road Seaview for a serious accident.

On arrival paramedics were shocked to find that a single vehicle had left the roadway and overturned coming to rest on a residential wall. Paramedics found the driver still entrapped in the wreckage unable to gain access to him due to the way in which the vehicle was lying. Firefighters worked quickly to free the trapped driver. Once freed the patient was carefully extricated from the wreckage and paramedics were able to assess him. Unfortunately due to the severity of his injuries the driver had passed away before paramedics were able to assist him.

It is unclear what caused the single vehicle to loose control and overturn however SAPS were in attendance and will be investigating further.

Traffic was severely affected as Coedmore Road was closed to all traffic whilst emergency personal worked to clear the scene.
