A female in her twenties is fighting for her life after she was struck by a car on the M13 west bound on Fields Hill in Pinetown this afternoon at around 16h56. Exact detail to the cause of the accident and preceding events will remain a subject for police investigation and comment.
Netcare 911 paramedics arrived at the scene and found the female lying on the roadway with life threatening injuries. After she was placed on a ventilator and deftly immobilized on a trauma board, they transported her to an area hospital for the care that she required.
