Two people have died after a vehicle hit a tree along Gordon Road, Hatfield Pretoria this morning at around 01h00. Exact detail to the cause of the accident and preceding events will remain a subject for police investigation and comment.
Netcare 911 paramedics arrived at the scene and found the injured still trapped in the twisted remains of their vehicle. After triaging they found that a lady had tragically died before their arrival due to the extensive injuries that she sustained while a man was in a critical condition.
Paramedics worked fervently to stabilise the man on scene and after they placed him on a ventilator and deftly immobilized him on a trauma board he was transported to a Netcare hospital for specialized care, tragically he died soon after his arrival due to the extensive injuries that he sustained.
