Sixteen commuters injured after two mini-bus taxis collide at intersection in Durban

Sixteen commuters have been injured after two mini-bus taxis collided at the busy intersection of Grey and Leopold roads in Durban’s CBD this afternoon.

ER24 Durban and Rescue Care paramedics arrived on scene to find chaos as all the commuters freed themselves from the two wreckages. Luckily all sixteen patients suffered only minor injuries and were treated on scene before being transported by ambulance to various hospitals near by for further care.

Traffic was severly affected and Metro Police were on scene to assist.

The cause of the accident and circumstances leading up to it were un clear and the necessary authorities were on scene and are investigating further.
