A man is fighting for his life after he was struck by a vehicle along the N2 north near the Joiner Road off ramp this evening. Exact detail to the cause of the accident and preceding events will remain a subject for police investigation and comment.
Netcare 911 paramedics arrived at the scene and found the patient lying on the roadway with life threatening injuries. After they stabilised the patient on scene and skillfully immobilized him on a trauma board, medics transported him to an area hospital for the care that he required.
