Just after 7am this morning Rescue Care paramedics responded to a bike accident on the corner of Frere Road and Willowvale Road in Umbilo.
On arrival paramedics found a 23year old female lying in severe pain on the pavement. Paramedics worked quickly to stabilize the biker. Advanced Life Support intervention was needed to assist with pain medication. Once the patient was stabilized and placed on a specialized spinal board she was transported to St Augustine’s Hospital for further treatment.
It is unclear what caused the collision however only the bike was involved in the collision. SAPS were on the scene and will be investigating the circumstances around the collision.
