Just before 7pm tonight Rescue Care paramedics were called to the intersection of Sydney Road and Dalton Road for a collision.
On arrival paramedics found that two vehicles had collided in the junction and were severely damaged. One of the drivers was found on the side walk having sustained serious injuries. Paramedics worked to stabilize him and placed him on a specialized spinal board to prevent further movement. Once stabilized the injured man was taken by Rescue Care to St Augustine Hospital for the further care that he required.
It is unclear what caused the collision however SAPS were on the scene and will be investigating further.
