Motorcyclist dies in Pinetown crash

A 27 year old man was sadly killed this morning after he came off his motorbike on the M19 between Otto Volek and Blair Atholl in Pinetown.

Paramedics arrived on scene at around 8:30 this morning to find that the young man had come off of his motorbike and had crashed into the roadside barrier. It appears that there was some sort of spillage on the roadway which appeared to have been paint, and this may have been the cause of the rider losing control of the bike.

The young man had suffered extensive and multiple injuries and initial assessments revealed that he had died due to the nature of his injuries prior to the arrival of medical assistance. There was no other option but for paramedics to declare him dead on scene.

No other vehicles are believed to have been part of the incident, and local police who attended the scene will be conducting the necessary investigations into the cause of the crash.
