Six injured following a motor vehicle collision on the N2 north bound

Six people have been left injured following a motor vehicle collision on the N2 north bound near to the popular EB Cloete interchange this morning.

ER24 Durban and Rescue Care Paramedics arrived on the scene to find two light motor vehicles had collided before one of them came to rest against the armco barrier.

The driver of the vehcile sustained moderate injuries and due to the extensive damage to her vehcile the South African Police Services Search and Rescue unit were called in and the jaws of life used to free her from the wreckage.

She was treated and stabalised on scene before being placed on a specialised stretcher and transported to a near by hospital for further care.

Luckily the other occupants of the two vehicles sustained only minor injuries and were treated on scene by paramedics and taken to hospital for further assessment.

Traffic was severly affected and the necessary authorities were on scene to assist.

The exact cause of the collision and the events leading to it are un known and the necessary authorities are investigating further.
