Just after 6am this morning Rescue Care paramedics were called to the N2 South bound near chesterville for a serious collision.
On arrival paramedics found that a vehicle had collided with a pedestrian and then had lost control and rolled coming to rest in the centre medium of the busy freeway. Paramedics found the pedestrian had suffered serious injuries and was found some distance from the vehicle in the emergency lane. The driver of the vehicle had also sustained injuries and both patients were stabilized on the scene before being transported to various Durban hospitals for further care that they required.
Traffic was affected as paramedics worked on both sides of the south bound carriageway to clear the scene.
