A woman in her 30’s has been killed after she was knocked down by a bakkie on the N2 between Ermelo and Piet Retief.
Paramedics arrived on scene at around 20:30 this evening to find the woman lying in the road. Sadly, she had not survived the injuries that she had sustained and there were no signs of life upon initial assessments made by paramedics. The young woman was declared dead and her remains handed over to the local SAPS.
The driver of the bakkie which collided into the woman was not injured.
Local police are investigating.
