N12 Wolmaranstad – 2 October
Three people were killed and three others injured this morning in a collision between a minibus, two passenger vehicles and a truck on the N12 towards Wolmaranstad at the Alabama turn off ,North West.
The initial impact caused the truck to collide with a second vehicle and overturn spilling it’s load onto the road.
Paramedics from ER24, fire fighters and other services arrived on the scene and found that a total of four vehicles were involved.
Nothing could be done to help 2 occupants of one of the vehicles and they were declared deceased on the scene.
Paramedics attempted to resuscitate another patient, but their attempt was unsuccessful and the woman was declared deceased .
The remaining patients luckily only suffered moderate injuries and were transported to hospital by road ambulance.
Traffic will be affected pending the removal of the wreckages, clean-up of oil that had spilt during the collision and the recovery of the truck’s load.
