1 Female Injured In M41 Collision

Crisis Medical Paramedics responded to a collision on the M41 near Mount Edgecombe at 21:00 this evening.

First to arrive on scene, paramedics found the wreckage of a Toyota and BMW. The occupants were both assessed and it was established that a 54 year old female had sustained injuries to her lower legs and arms. Paramedics worked to stabilize the woman before removing her from the vehicle assisted by Ethekwini Fire and Rescue where she was placed on a spine board to prevent further injury. She was then transported to Ethekwini Hospital for further medical care by Crisis Medical ambulance.

It is not clear what caused the two cars to collided however SAPS were on scene to investigate the exact cause of the incident.
