Netcare 911 paramedics and other services responded to an accident in Brakpan this evening.
Upon their arrival on scene they found that two motor vehicles had collided head-on resulting in a woman sustaining serious injuries.
The woman was treated on scene before she was transported to hospital for further medical care.
Exact detail to the cause of the accident and preceding events will remain the subject of a police investigation.
