Netcare 911 paramedics responded to a pedestrian accident on the N14 by the N1 in Centurion this afternoon.
Upon their arrival on scene they found that a man, believed to be in his twenties, was in a critical condition after he was knocked over by a motor vehicle.
The man was treated on scene before he was transported to hospital for the urgent medical care he required.
Exact detail to the cause of the accident and preceding events will remain the subject of a police investigation.
